Planning to take Step 1 on March 25th. NBME 27: 60%
Hello everyone, I am studying full time using UFAPS. My goal is to get 75% on an NBME before March 25. These are the resources I have used. Weaknesses are definitely micro, cardio and rheuma/ortho.
NBME 25 - 52%, 12.02
NBME 26- 58%, 18.02
NBME 27 - 60%, 24.02
(Admittedly, I did the NBMEs often in informal settings. Usually within less than 2 hours, without double checking and often checking if the answer is right or wrong after each question. I also never took a full day to take one and did several others things on the same day (UWorld blocks, sketchy etc) so fatigue might have played a part as I took them late at the end of the day.)
-
UWorld (Mixed blocks of 40, 47% correct, 100% done)
-
Pathoma videos and book, 100% done.
-
Sketchy Micro, 100% done. Have done Sketchy Antimicrobials and Autonomic.
-
First Aid, around 30% read.
-
Regular Anking UWorld incorrects.
This is what I plan to do:
-
Mehlman PDFs (Arrows, Cardio, Micro, Renal, Risk Factors)
-
Finish Sketchy Pharm
-
First Aid Rapid Review
-
Dirty Medicine Cardio and other videos
-
Repeat Pathoma Renal and 1-3
My questions:
-
Is it worth it to go through UWorld incorrects?
-
Any other resources I should use? Is March 25 achieveable?
General thoughts:
I have been studying intensively since mid January and been gaining and losing a lot of information. I feel a lot of the time I am making educated guesses rather than answers I am 100% sure of.
