AMA: I’ve never had a sense of smell

I have a rare genetic condition that, among a variety of other random things, causes anosmia. It actually took me until I was about 12/13 to realize I didn’t have a sense of smell, and I honestly just assumed that I just hadn’t exactly figured out what smell was.
