First Ibiza trip for 2 in July 2026. Love nightlife but also want ALL the recs!

Question — General

Hi! My friend and I (26F & 27F, from the U.S.) are going to Ibiza July 17–22 and we’re so excited!

We’ve both traveled before (I’ve been to Europe a few times), so we’re not completely new to navigating things, but this is our first time in Ibiza and in Spain period (my dad is so disappointed I’m not going to Madrid). We definitely want to experience the nightlife/club scene, but we’re trying to do it right and not fall into tourist traps or rookie mistakes although I️ understand it’s our first time, we’re not gonna get EVERYTHING right.

A few specific things we’re trying to figure out:

-We’re looking at hostels and are heavily considering Amistat as it’s in San Antonio and we wanna be surrounded by other young, like minded travelers for the camaraderie and the socialization. Good idea or can you guys suggest another hostel?

-It’s currently $1,052 on their direct site for the week. Is there a place I️ can get it cheaper? Booking? Jet2Holidays? Hostelworld?

- I’ve lurked on the Ibiza sub for a while and I️ brought up to my travel companion the idea of seeing Calvin Harris and Dom Dolla on the same day we land (we land @5:00PM on Friday). She was concerned about us having enough time to see both acts and whether we would be too jet lagged to catch both acts. But from my understanding from a couple of Redditors, Calvin Harris doesn’t even go until 9:30 PM and from my understanding Hi Ibiza is across the street from Ushuaia but also there are a lot of little bars nearby to hang out at while we waiting for Dom to come out because he won’t even come out until 2/3 AM I️ heard? I️ guess what I’m asking is how do the dj’s timing work.

- Does having a promoter and getting on a guest list work? Should I️ try my hardest to get in contact with one beforehand? Is it worth it? I’m planning on buying all my tickets in advance but I️ don’t want spent $80 on a ticket only to end up getting in for free. But I️ also know it’s not guaranteed, of course. Just trying to be prepared and budget conscious.

- Speaking of budget, I’m planning on bringing $2,000 USD of spending money as I’ll pay for flights, accommodations and tickets ahead of time. Would this be enough for the island?

- Are there any good spots for reggaeton / afrobeats / hip-hop if we want a break from house music? I’m Afro-Latina Honduran and my friend is African American, I like house music but she only recognizes Calvin Harris is only there to have a fun time but still we would like to mix it up if possible. I️ know Ibiza Rocks is having an R$B pool day so we’re definitely attending that.

- How hard is it actually to get taxis late at night/early morning in July? What arrangements can I️ make beforehand to ensure getting back to our accommodations is as smooth as possible? Who got the taxi plug?? 🤔

- Any beach cubs / day parties / boat charters worth the price? Who got the boat plug?? We still want to enjoy the island and its natural beauty on days we are taking a break from the nightlife. Any restaurant recs as well?

Sorry this was so long! We are social, like to go out, and can handle ourselves. We don’t get sloppy drunk and are always cautious. We are just trying to have a great time without unnecessary stress because that can make or break a girls trip.

Any advice would be super appreciated 🙏

And please dm me if you guys have a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy. Gracias!! 😝🫶🏽
