Places to meet other singles aged 40-50 something.

Hello all,

I've been told that most dating takes place online nowadays.

As a single, middle-aged man, where does one go to meet single, middle-aged women who prefer face to face interaction?

I've looked at Meetup which offers a bunch of groups. Of course the bar scene is always an option (not preferred). As well, there are lots of running groups, yoga classes, and gyms in Ottawa.

I'm thinking of places that are more suitable to conversation without the interruptions and focus that those activities require.
