So it's end of February 2026 almost Q1 is behind us. Where are we going to hear about Squadron 42 release or eventual delay ? CIG said this time is real and so far no news, no marketing, not even indication or acknowledgment, No beta, no nothing.

Is this again CIG fooling everyone ?

1. SQ42 apparently will have raytracing, something which technical lead confirmed months ago is still not ready. I doubt they are in beta with SQ42 with unfinished major features like raytracing.

2. VR also is supposed to be in SQ42, you know then unfinished one from SC that small dedicated team voluntary added to the game.

3. If they are planning to release it this year THEY HAVE to do beta or something like that. I won't believe they can churn out polished single player game as their first finished game ever without bugs etc. that needs to be tested and tested and tested.

4. CIG aren't dumb enough to release it without marketing, they want to make $$$ by selling it. So they have to run PR campaign of some sort for at least 3 months before relase.

5. They aren't dumb enough either to release it in winter time when most of heavy hitter swill be released with possibility of GTA6 biggest of them all.

So the only available window from business point seems to be late summer early fall and marketing should be starting like in few weeks and major features are still not ready which imo means no 2026 release. IF anything early 2027 assuming game actually works without issues right now and if not full another year delay or more.
