Ideally I'd like a new laptop, seems like trusting a refurbisher is a gamble?

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Will be plugged in 24/7. I'd like it to last a decent amount of time. Performance is largely unimportant. It's just going to be used to remote desktop into a proper PC, and do some light web browsing.
