Beehive Kilns
Hello everyone
I'm recently in a new playthrough and about to start building my mega-base. Been collecting thousands of clay as I'm building it all in clay bricks and I have 2 Beehive kilns going around the clock to process all of this.
Now, as we know fireclay bricks get damaged and needs to be replaced after a few hours of operation, and I know I can replace the damaged ones and keep going, but when it happend this time around I got to thinking about a certain issue.
The thing is the kiln broke while the bricks were not finished, thus leaving me with several hundred bricks not being fired, which I have to remove to fix the gratings, then fix the kiln to finally place all the bricks down again and fire them all over.
But how does the game calculate which bricks get broken? Lets say half of the kiln got broken this time around, and I fix all the damaged parts and go again. But what about the bricks that were still intact? What happens if I fix the kiln and fire it up, will they be the next to break? Leaving me with another unfinished burn and have to redo it all again?
Is it better to destroy the kiln and build a new one? Hope this wasn't unclear in anyway :)
Peace!
