Has anyone had any issues hardwiring a Dashcam to the fuse box?
I have a 2019 Karoq. Sexy I know.
I’ve had an ongoing problem since not long after I bought it used. Every so often, when I go to start it after 10 hours parked up I won’t start initially, and throws up a ton of errors on the dash about ABS parking brake, etc. after that it starts and I get a further error or problems. It doesn’t seem to be actually anything anything wrong with the things I am getting errors for and the engine management lights not on.
After doing some research online, I am starting to wonder if the problem is caused by my dash cam which I hardwired into the dash fuse box.
I wired it up to the fuse for the rear windscreen wiper and I haven’t got it connected to a permanent live at the moment as I only want it to work when I’m driving and I wanted to roll out any drain whilst parked up It’s had a brand-new battery and I don’t think it’s a voltage problem, but I’m wondering if it’s causing some kind of interference.
Has anyone else come across anything similar to this?
