What's it like for gay people in rural Montana?
Hello all,
I’m a single professional 40 year old gay man who is considering taking a job in Glasgow. I want to know how accepting it is/how safe I’ll be, but also more generally just what it’s like. I’m no stranger to rural America so I’m not so worried about that. What I am worried about is meeting friends and finding a church that is accepting of gay couples, as I would like to eventually find Mr Right!
I am also curious about the state laws, especially since Obergefell could be overturned in the next few years given the current makeup of the Supreme Court. It's something I do need to be conscious of.
I want to be clear that while I am asking about the gay stuff, I’m open to any and all comments about what life is like in Northeast Montana. I’m from the South and the only time I’ve been west of New Orleans was when I visited Denver at 18. That said I lived in Chicago for many years so I am no stranger to winter!
Thanks. I’m looking forward hopefully joining yall soon!
