Need help with my dilemma!

Hi all, I'm a female and recently got into the AM process. I have absolutely no idea how to do this and would really appreciate some advice. I have always been a bit shy, awkward when it comes to small talksand I'm also picky, easily lose interest. I have a few questions:

1. How do you manage long distance communication? - I work in a role which involves a lot of talking and typing and doing that in my personal time is extremely exhausting and I would need to do this until I get to meet the guy, which could take months since he lives in another city

2. Is it okay to continue my search, even though I'm casually talking to a guy? - I recently found a match and spoke to him over the call. I did not find any vibes matching and he did not come across that smart. He dint speak confidently and wasn't fluent/polished, whereas I speak fluent English and Hindi so it is kind of a deal breaker for me but also seems like a silly reason to reject somebody over. I also did not find a physical attraction when I saw his photos

3. How exactly do you stay sane in this process - My parents are on me to get married because I'm in my late 20s and I've had very little dating experience but I've always found some sort of a vibe there, but in AM it's very awkward for me for some reason
