Flying Blue expiration just got simpler — good news for Chase transfers
Flying Blue announced they’re simplifying mile expiration.
Starting May 4, any qualifying activity resets your entire balance for 24 months (one expiration date for all miles).
Feels like a nice improvement for anyone transferring from Chase because Flying Blue used to have different expiration rules depending on how miles were earned.
For Chase users this basically means:
- Less stress if you transfer and plans change
- Easier to keep small / orphan balances alive
- Makes transfer bonuses slightly less risky
- Cancelled awards sitting in your account aren’t as annoying anymore
Not a huge headline change, but definitely a quality-of-life upgrade if you use Flying Blue promos.
Curious if this makes anyone more comfortable transferring speculatively, or if you still stick to transfer —> book immediately.
