Why no one looks at the maths ?

I am a quant in IB. so I have a bias. But while investing my personnal money I always look at something that I almost never see on the internet while looking at investment forums.

I look at the basic maths used in market risk analytics.

Value at Risk

Correlations with factors or the rest of the portfolio

Profitability over risk ratios (sharpe, sortino,…)

Stop trying to predict the market, you are drawing on a chart while guys have a Bloomberg terminal.

Accept randomness and learn how to use it properly.
