E6-B on IR Written?

Ok this might have been a massive oversight on my part but should I plan on having an E6-B for the IR written exam?

I went through all of the Gold Seal ground school and practice tests without a single question requiring flight calculations like WCA or ground speed etc

I’m doing Shepppard Air as a “top off” and just came across a question requiring one. I assume if it’s in SA, then it’s on the exam but I’m wondering why Gold Seal omitted any questions on this. Perhaps they just assumed as a private pilot this is basic knowledge but I’ve been doing theses on my iPhone app E6-B for years. Got my PPL in 2004 and use a manual one at the time
