Depravation of assets England

Getting inheritance of 30k I’m on universal credit and esa with housing benefit. I just want to know the rules regarding spending on my flat, I have a lot of work to do painting while flat and buying furniture etc which will come to a lot also get myself debt free….will this be deprivation of assets ? I.e. does my benefit stop as soon as the money drops to my account ? England based
