What could've been

Imagine if you will, a scenario where Merle didn't die when he did and instead took Hershel's death so they could flesh out his redemption more and give him more time with Darryl and Hershel still could've died when the prison fell since he couldn't fight or run. How would it of gone and what you of liked to see it? Just sounded like it would've made for good TV.
