First, I want to say sorry because I share my opinions here so often. But this conversation feels really important to me, which is why I genuinely wanted to share it with all of you. I want to share my opinion about soohyuk conversation (chp 124) coz fo me their conversation clearly contains strong clues about the reason Eunhyuk left without a word. At this point, it’s becoming increasingly obvious.

When Eunhyuk says he was scared, it feels like heavy foreshadowing of what happened back then. He left because he was scared and overwhelmed, scared of the possibility that Suae had abandoned him, combined with his family problems, was simply too much for an 18-year-old to handle.

There’s also Suae’s monologue: “There’s something you don’t want me to find out, isn’t there?” I’m almost certain that line points to the reason Eunhyuk could never fully explain himself to her. In my opinion, there’s only one real possibility — the fact that Eunhyuk saw Suae run away after he was slapped by his father. And this is one of the biggest reason he left back then.

Knowing Eunhyuk, he would never let Suae find out. He understands that if she discovered he saw her run away, it would deeply hurt her and fill her with guilt. He knows how much it would crush her. That’s why he never wanted her to know. Even if Eunhyuk knew that Suae would definitely forgive him if he told her the truth, Eunhyuk still Eunhyuk — he might be would rather let her hate him than let her get hurt because of him.

And this is supported by Eunhyuk’s response when he says, “Guess I shouldn’t have.” By this point (Chapter 115), we already know he has realized everything was a misunderstanding and that Suae never actually abandoned him. That’s why he regrets his choice
