Leaving our vizsla puppy -question

We’re new vizsla owners, our puppy is 10 weeks old and we had not left her alone yet, due to her age.

This morning I spoke to a trainer who advised that at this age I should be leaving the puppy for an hour to get her used to being alone and self soothing. This does seem to differ from other advice I have read. She has a crate and so far we have only left her alone for 5-10 minutes, she cries and then eventually self soothes. I am mindful that we should be starting slowly and letting her get used to being left, rather than going straight in to leaving her for an hour. Please can you share what approach worked for you all?
