New investor trying to build a clearer portfolio plan

Hi everyone ! I’m still fairly new to investing and mostly holding broad index funds. Lately I’ve been trying to understand my portfolio beyond just “buy and hold.”

I wanted to see things like overall allocation, sector exposure, and whether I’m more concentrated than I realize. I tested a portfolio tool (tryLattice) to get a clearer breakdown, and for me it was actually useful in visualizing how everything connects. It didn’t change my strategy, but it made it feel more intentional.

For those with more experience:

-Do you regularly review your portfolio structure?

-Or once you set your allocation, do you mostly leave it alone?

-How do you know when you’re optimizing vs. just overthinking?

Still learning, just trying to build good habits early.
