I feel it’s a quiet karma. But it’s karma.

[Happy/Funny]

Mild tw. Passing of a loved one and mention of funeral.

No details. Just statement of fact.

This also turned into a complete ramble… so enjoy…

But This one’s over 50 years in the making. 30 being of my own, and truely; other than being lonely, it’s the first little slither she’s yet to receive.

I’ll spare you the trauma dump because we all know we’ve had enough of that. And she doesn’t deserve the energy.

But you already know just by being here; She was, and I’m sure still is (thank you 7 years no contact), a terrible person.

A sorry excuse for a human, let alone mother.

Even her own mother spoke ill of her (WE love her. amazing, kind and wonderful woman, and basically raised me until she couldn’t)

And she’d never!!….

Except for her.

She had nothing to say that was good. And she could find the good in anyone.

The karma?

Her own mother’s dying wish, was that she specifically, was not be told when she passed.

Do you know how badly you have to mess up as a person for that to be the final want of a person that only put out love into the world?

Because of the person she is. And everything she’s done.

Because she was so nasty, cruel and selfish… she isn’t being told her own mother passed away.

She doesn’t get to go to her own mother’s funeral.

Finally, consequences for her actions.

My entire life, She only contacted grandma when she wanted to try and take money or scream at her, while she is a narc and I know truely, she won’t care… I do know it’ll really piss her off that she was intentionally left out, and it’ll sting when she eventually finds out exactly who decided that just that little bit more.

What did I get?

Everything. Because of my grandma.

An amazing great grand child she got to actually got meet and spend time with.

To be loved unconditionally.

To learn so much from her.

And to be invited to say goodbye, to hug her one last time and to thank her for everything.

It’s all I could ever ask for.

And a bookmark with her face on it!

I know that sounds silly, but is just absolutely perfectly …grandma.

No funeral cards, no sad pictures, just bookmarks.

She loved to read. And so does my family.

She made sure of that.

Now She’ll be living on with us one page at a time.

Which I think is nice.

Tomorrow, I’ll be getting my bookmark, she will finally be getting a little karma, and she doesn’t even know it.

I really wish it wasn’t how we finally got this slither of karma.

But I’m glad grandma got to serve it.

She deserved that.
