Bell training in an apartment
So I have a 16 week miniature cockapoo and potty training has been rough. We still had to take her out every 20-30 minutes to avoid accidents. She is crate trained and holds it overnight in the crate, so I would think she’d be able to hold it better during the day, but alas she cannot. I have read a lot about how bell training can be beneficial to potty training and think I might want to try it, but I live in an apartment. And I am worried that maybe it would give her too much power to ask for walks whenever she wants, since I don’t have the ability to just open a door and let her go potty. And when people walk past the door in the hall, she frequently runs to the door. So I know that she would ring the bell and want to go outside every time she hears something. So I’m curious- has anyone tried bell training in an apartment? How did it go?
