How to reach a tech support supervisor - so mad
This is mostly going to be a rant, as I don't think there is a specific way to escalate.
I purchased a 1355U laptop from Best Buy Nov 24 of last year. From day one, had intermittent "oh snap" browser errors. Thought it might be the Malwarebytes antivirus stuff I had installed, so wiped that, continued.
Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago, and nothing I had tried worked. Contacted HP support, as I was outside my return window. They suggested the HP scan suite, did that, reinstalled drivers, no improvement.
Contacted tech again, they sent recovery media. Recovery media refused to install at all, so essentially bricked the laptop.
Contacted tech, they sent a box to ship it to a repair facility. I detailed the Windows problem, and added (Here was my very large mistake) that the lettering was starting to wear off on a 3 month old laptop.
Today I got an email "Unrepairable customer caused damage" with a couple of photos of the keyboard. No mention of the fact that it doesn't even boot currently, which indicates to me they opened it, saw the keys and said "Ah, screw that guy".
I plan on contacting HP as soon as their lines open, but is there a trick or a different number to get someone that can actually do something?
I hate this laptop. I knew that buying HP was a mistake as I've not had great experiences, but a friend recommended it for travel. So, here we are.
