Teaching in Kazakhstan - Astana

I was recently offered a teaching job in Astana. I don't much about the country other than it gets extremely cold in winter and the people there are generally nice.

I would really appreciate if could drop in some info about living and working there, and whether or not you'd recommend it. Particularly about the salary being calculated in usd but payed in KZT, does this pose any problems?
