Amrita gauge doesn't charge during bossfights

I seem to have a persistent bug. my Amrita gauge NEVER charges during bossfights. It charges while fighting normal enemies, but never charges while fighting bosses in their arena.

Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it?
