How we improved our SaaS credibility with reviews, Here is what worked for us

Discussion

I am a member of the marketing team for a small SaaS product and we were facing a problem that prospects weren’t signing up because we had very few reviews online. Our product worked well but users were hesitant to test our product because we did’nt have enough social proof

To fix this problem we decided to work with a team experienced in SaaS reputation management. Instead of asking users for feedback at random, their advice enabled us to approach reviews strategically.

Here is what we did:

  1. Organized review outreach: Through a focused campaign, we were able to connect with consumers who were considering our product but were hesitant about moving further. To encourage honest feedback (on platforms like G2, Capterra) we offered small incentives like discounts and extended trials
  2. Highlighting powerful reviews: The team recommended methods to highlight reviews on our website and marketing materials so customers could see credible social proof.
  3. Iterative improvement: We tracked engagement and modified the strategy based on results with the team advising us on what worked and what did not.

After about four to six weeks demo requests started coming in more frequently, new customers were mentioning reviews during onboarding and overall engagement became higher just by changing strategy

Has anyone else faced the same issue with low review volume for their SaaS? If you tried a more structured approach to getting reviews what actually worked for you?
