Creating A Custom (SHORTER & NOT 7s) Format!
Hello!
I know this is a stretch, but I was looking for honest opinions from other Blood Bowl players; with a bit of experience under their belts.
I myself, come from BB2 on 360. I got my friends into it, started up a league at my personally owned shop, and then interest slowly died off; mostly due to how long/stall-y the game felt.
Coming back post 2020, which I didn't play much, felt like steps in the right direction; while also ruining aspects other aspects of the game. (Feels like 40k again)
On that note, I decided to make my own variant.
I'm thinking of following the BB5/4 style, the 7s style, and hopefully not messing with the roster/pre-existing boards all that much.
That last point is important, the remnants of my league are VERY much opposed to changing fundamentals; as they don't want to learn a whole new game.
Introducing my take, a mix of 5/4 & 7s logic.
Attackers/Recievers get 5 turns per Quarter
Defenders/Kickers get 4 turns per Quarter in response
Scoring ends the Quarter
RRolls reset during Half-Time
On a base game board;;
Pitch size has 3 columns cut off each side for larger TouchDown zones
AND
1 row per side on Wide Zones
Shrink the board for a shorter game, while keeping the old boards usable
TLDR;;
Is there any obvious cheese or hiccups with this field & these rulings?
(Excuse my drawing, but for visual)
