Is it just me, or is this in 'Death Delayed for a Short Time Because of the Will' ruining the pacing?

As a reader of the novel, I’m feeling pretty disappointed by how the manhwa adaptation is handling certain scenes.

>! It feels like the creator is inserting fanservice that simply doesn’t exist at this point in the story, and it’s honestly ruining the pacing for me. I’m specifically talking about that damn watch that keeps popping up. There is absolutely no trace of it in the novel. To break it down:

  • The first two dreams (Jihan’s and Yoon Seo’s) actually happen in the side stories.
  • The third one (from the latest chapters) is completely non-existent.

I started with the manhwa, but once it went on hiatus after season one, I literally devoured the web novel. What felt "off" and out of place in the manhwa confirmed my suspicions: it wasn't in the original source material.

The timing is what bothers me most. They inserted this last fanservice right before one of the sweetest, most genuine moments in the story at the black market. For context, here is how that scene actually goes in the novel:

The contrast is jarring. Instead of letting the natural tension and sweetness of the story breathe, they’re shoving in extra smut that doesn't belong. !<

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Also, I’m genuinely praying they don’t pull this same stunt with The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly, >! especially during that dungeon/memory or whatever it was (I can't remember exactly, it's been too long since I've read it), with Sa-Young and Eui-jae. !< If they mess with the tone of that part, I might actually start a riot.

What do you guys think? Do you prefer the extra or do you wish they’d stick to the novel’s pacing?
