Thinking about buying Dice Throne - Is it worth it?

My local board game store’s options are becoming limited so I checked online and found this cool-looking game. It just has a bit of a steep price + shipping. Therefore I wanted to know what your thoughts are? Also if someone has a lot of experience with it, would season 1 or 2 be better for a first timer?

Thanks in advance.
