Looking for a unicorn
Hello beautiful people! I am looking for what seems to be a bit of a unicorn dress. I LOVE a boat-neck/bateau neckline but also lace applique AND some kind of folding/ruching/draping across the tummy area. Most of the boat neck dresses I have found are completely clean across the bodice and often a crepe/stretchy material which, for me, is tight in just all the wrong places.
Here's what I've found so far that is some kind of combo of what I'm looking for:
Justin Alexadner Lanie and Flint(2023): LOVE this neckline, the back, the lace on the sides, but HATE how it lays over my tummy area due to the fabric and lack of detail across the bodice.
Kelly Faetanini Claude: Perfect combo of lace and pleats across the belly, but don't love the strapless neckline and the back is not my favorite with the visible boning.
I know I can go custom and add appliques or alter the neckline but it seems like building a boat neckline onto a strapless dress is a MAJOR alteration.
My budget is ideally under $5k with alterations, but I do have some wiggle room (maybe an additional 1k) for the right dress.
Does anyone else see the vision and know of any unicorns out there?
