What's your perspective on prenups?
Preface, I'm not getting married but I'm curious to know this subs stance on prenuptials. For me, I've always instinctively felt like it was kind of gross, almost like a commodification and black mark on marriage. I feel like if you marrying someone you suspect would financially ruin you, then you shouldn't get married to begin with. Also, and this my romantic/idealistic mind talking, but I also just find it disheartening too. Prenuptial are probably the objectively logical thing to do, but I just find the objectification of deep connection intrinsically wrong. Asking my hypothetical future wife to sign a prenup just seems existentially disrespectful to not only her but myself. Like im engaging in some postmodern ritual. I almost would rather live with the consequences of divorce than love someone with caveats and constant suspicion. What's other INFJs thoughts?
