DDO is rolling a Natural 20: 20th Anniversary events, freebies, and the new year-long Remnant Rush
Twenty years ago, our adventurers first set foot in Stormreach. With Update 78: Natural 20, we’re celebrating that milestone with anniversary events, new content, and some grab-it-while-it’s-here freebies!
Anniversary Gifts (available through March 31, 2026)
Arcane Trickster (FREE to claim for a limited time)
The new Arcane Trickster archetype is free to claim during the anniversary window. To get it: head to Anniversary Island, talk to Giver of Gifts, claim it, then log out and back in to apply the account unlock. Learn more about the Arcane Trickster here: https://www.ddo.com/guides/ddo-arcane-trickster
20th Anniversary Reward Token (every character)
When you first log in after the update, each character receives a 20th Anniversary Reward Token. Bring it to Miina d’Kundarak on Anniversary Island to exchange it for one reward item. See the complete list of token rewards here: https://www.ddo.com/guides/ddo-20th-anniversary-reward-token
20th Anniversary Cloak
To pick up your first 20th Anniversary Cloak, speak to Weaver, Master of Cloaks, located just around the corner clockwise from Sterling the Strongbox. Once you acquire a cloak by speaking with Weaver, you can pick up additional cloaks for your account by interacting with Weaver In Training, Apprentice of Cloaks on the lower floor of the Hall of Heroes.
Sterling’s Remnant Rush (year-long event)
Sterling the Strongbox has been invited by your favorite Feat-swapping mindflayer Fred to help gather the Mysterious Remnants scattered across the universes! Sterling’s Remnant Rush is a year-long rewards loop built around playing older content again.
Champions can drop Mysterious Remnants when you quest on Hard or higher. Take those Remnants to Sterling the Strongbox to trade for rewards. Each trade increases the cost of the next one, and you can trade up to 10 times per month per account. The trade cost resets each month.
Helpful heads-up: If your collectables bag is set to Gather, Remnants can auto-scoop into the bag, but Sterling cannot see them there. Be sure to move them into your inventory before you try to turn in!
You can find Sterling on Anniversary Island during the anniversary window, and also in the Eberron Hall of Heroes.
Time Flies (new anniversary dungeon)
Debuting with the 20th anniversary is a new quest: Time Flies. It is designed like a “greatest hits, but the timeline is broken” run, where each time you enter you get three random encounters from a pool of seven.
Complete the dungeon to earn Timeline Fragments and trade them at the exchange station next to the quest NPC on Anniversary Island for a set of anniversary rewards.

Returning after a break?
Anniversary Island is the fastest way to get caught up. Swing by to grab the limited-time Arcane Trickster unlock and your anniversary rewards, then pick your lane: jump straight into whatever you used to love (raids, TR loops, favor runs, classic chains), or use Sterling’s Remnant Rush as a reason to revisit older content and earn rewards while you do it.
