kudo'ed+bookmarked+commented on an old fic and the author later deleted it :(

i was reading real old fics for a fandom and there was one from around 2002 that was so amazing and beautifully written, it was even pretty in character!! it had only a few kudos and no comments so i decided to comment on it only to find out later thru my bookmarks that the author promptly deleted the work :( author whyyyy

at least i will have the memory of enjoying the fic with me sigh
