Cat would benefit from a friend but our landlord only allows one pet

he’s almost 9 months old and full of energy and so bitey.

He’s a very social little guy and I just know he would love having a friend.

My husband and I have a 40 minute commute to and from work so we usually aren’t home for a little over 8 hours.

He does great at home alone but again, I just feel like he would love a friend.

We have an independent landlord and we pay $25 monthly for our current cat. I had previously asked if only one pet is allowed and they said “I thought you said you only have one” and then I clarified I just wanted to know for the future and they never answered me so I’m assuming they don’t really want another pet there.

We just signed a year and a half lease so we’re there for awhile..

I know some people sneak pets into their apartments but ours isn’t a complex so I’m worried we’d get in more trouble if they found out?
