I made a free mobile game in my free time: asteroids, realistic physics, and a lot of pain. Special "Alien" skin for the first 50 people who download
Hey r/IMadeThis
I'm a solo dev and I spent the last few months building Astero Arena for iOS.
What I made: A one-thumb arcade game where your ship auto-rises and you dodge asteroids using rotation. The asteroids use realistic momentum physics, so they don't just disappear on hit, they push your ship around.
What surprised me: The "one more try" loop is real. Playtesters stayed way longer than I expected.
One friend went for 45 minutes straight without realizing it.
What I learned: Getting the physics feel right took way longer than I expected. Too much bounce felt wrong. Too little felt dead. It's free, no paywalls on the core gameplay.
Just happy to share something I made. Link in comment if anyone wants to try!
