Blended Transparency Ordering Animation
Brand new to Blender trying to animate a fade out of an object inside another transparent object. I would like to use the blended render method as the transparency views look nicer (not appreaing grainy like dithered). The problem is when I am trying to animate the fade out of the internal object, as soon as it becomes semi transparent, it sticks out more than I think it should at that instance, and depending on some of the settings (transparency overlap or transparent shadows). It seems that there is some render queue or order in which overlapping transparent objects are visible when using the blended render method.
If I change to the dithered render method of the inside material (cube in attached video), the fade out animation looks correct with no drastic changes to the cube coloring/shading and no overlap ordering that is seen with the blended render method. The only problem with this method is that I would just prefer a smoother fade out where the object does not look granular.
I am brand new to Blender so perhaps I need to play around with the material properties to reduce this granular look. For reference, I am using the principaled BSDF surface for my material on the cube, and for the torus a mixed principaled and transparent BSDF.
