Am I being paranoid or is this coincidence?

I signed up for the guaranteed maximum rate for my trips to/from work. Since then, even when planning far ahead in the mornings, the typical wait time for a trip is several minutes to get a confirmation and the driver is well over 10 minutes away. Today and yesterday is was 14 minutes. I live in Chicago with a lot of drivers available during rush hour and rarely had this problem till I signed up for this savings plan. I inevitably cancel and switch to Uber because I can get a ride faster.

Am I being rejected by drivers because of this or does the algorhythm limit who sees my request to make me give up on this "benefit?"

I'm a long term Lyft user, have a 5 rating and am almost always tip.

OR . . . are drivers abandoning the Lyft program? This is not a slam against drivers. I depend on them and am grateful for their service. I'm suspecting Lyft as an organization.

I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!
