What to do about self care time if my dorm mate is around all the time?

I just started college in Jan and I am really liking it so far. Given how I am used to privacy of my own room at home and now having to share a small room with someone it has been a struggle especially with personal time. My roommate is not super comfortable talking about these things and she gets very uneasy when I tried to probe it. Given my high sex drive sometimes it gets really frustrating especially given the workload and my preference for masturbating to help me fall asleep. Please looking for genuine suggestions as I am not comfortable with sleeping around or doing it in communal showers
