I built an anonymous confession app for developers because we all have that bug we never fixed

Hey everyone,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster about my own project. I built something I've wanted for years: DevConfessions — an anonymous platform where developers can share confessions about their code, careers, and industry.

Why I built this:

I've been a dev for a while, and I've noticed we only share our wins publicly. Promotions, launches, impressive OSS contributions. But the failures? The shameful code? The imposter syndrome? We suffer in silence.

DevConfessions is space for the OTHER stories.

Features:

  • 🔒 No login, no account, completely anonymous
  • 📁 8 categories: Shameful Code, Hidden Bugs, Failed Interviews, Salary, Workplace, Imposter Syndrome, Career Regrets, Learning
  • 🚫 No ads, ever
  • 📊 Secret tracking URL to see your confession's stats
  • 🗑️ Delete anytime with your secret key
  • 📱 Android app available + dark theme

What makes this different from other anonymous apps: It's built specifically for developers, with categories that reflect our actual experiences. No verification required (looking at you, Blind).

I'd genuinely love feedback—on the app, the categories, the concept. Brutally honest feedback especially welcome.
