Magnesium Stearate

Generic vs. Brand

Disclaimer: this is just a hunch, I'm not a doctor.

I was writing a longer post and my phone died in the middle so let me know if you want me to elaborate on anything.

Short version is I noticed Amneal is the only formulation I can find that doesn't include magnesium stearate as an inactive ingredient. Magnesium stearate can slow dissolution of drugs, so this could possibly explain why many people feel shaky or jittery on this specific generic - the drugs may actually be dissolving and entering your bloodstream faster.

I have not actually tried Amneal yet but I will be soon, it was the brand my new pharmacy filled my script as this time. I'm switching from Granules Pharma which did not cause any jitters or increase in anxiety that I have noticed.
