I thought Michael and Zack didn’t do the majority of animation.

I swear in the commentary track for the first season they talk a lot about how they animated the pilot episode, but I vaguely remember them saying something about the majority of the animation for the rest of the show being handled by other people. Is that true? I thought by season 2 and 3 they were merely storyboarding and writing with occasional animating.
