Got fired. Seemed retaliatory.
Location: Ohio.
I’ll try to keep it brief. There was a pay raise I received a year ago that was sketchily handled. Basically the VP of sales at the time was paying me $1 of my $2 raise separate from my paycheck. Just Zelle. Sketchy but it’s money so okay.
That guy left the company and I was told the other $1 had to be figured out. Months of being led on and told “just need more time” blah blah blah all to just say “no we can’t do that”. My district manager made the call and said he had talked to the new VP about it.
FF another week (last week) m, I was frustrated, obviously, and sent a (professional) email to my manager, my district manager, and vp, simply asking for documentation and explanation for my pay decrease. Vp has no idea what I’m talking about.
An hour later I was fired by my dm because “the company decided to go a different direction”
Not sure if I have a leg to stand on fighting this. Can answer any additional questions. Thanks!
