Looking for thin gloves recommendations

Has anyone found any good thin DIY gloves that keep your hands warm when working outside? I need something thin enough to have good dexterity when working with power tools/gardening etc, but insulating enough to use in winter. Everything I've tried has been either useless or shredded within a few uses.
