frothy discharge after using bv gel

hi, i had suspicions of bv so i started using the MultiGyn Acti Gel made for bv, ive used it for 7 days now but the smell is still there if not worse? i’ve stopped for a day and im getting weird discharge now. first it was clumpy thick and white. now its thin and frothy and im not sure what to do or if i even had bv in the first place. please let me know ur thoughts. will boric acid help?
