Friend had card info stolen by someone he was breaking the law with

She was hanging out with a relative stranger at a party, had to rush to the toilet and left her purse in her rush. Other person most likely took pics of her cards and now has been using them online for food and random things. She reported the cards as compromised before she figured out who it was and is afraid they will retaliate when/if investigated for it by dragging her under the bus for what they were doing at said party.

She wants to know what type of lawyer or firm she can talk to so she can either put her mind at ease or contact if police start asking questions relating to this.
