Vintage fur cape identification

If anybody has any ideas on what type of fur this is, I would really appreciate it, I am quite stumped but it has been suggested that it is marten or fitch, I can't really find any matching examples online to help with identification. The cape was bought from Lady grantchester's estate auction (a British aristocrat). I think it probably dates to the 1930s or 1940s based on the style, but not sure about this either.
