Does Furniture Disappear if Not Used?

I just finished my first full Act II run on the moon. When I got back tot he house, I sorted my cats and ended the day, but forgot to check on what furniture I had gotten on the run. I know I had gotten a rare furniture box for sure. But when I went in to look on the next day, I didn't have any furniture in my inventory. My only theory is that maybe you can't keep furniture in your inventory over night? But that seems stupid.

Anybody else know if that's what might have happened or if have any other theories? Does the moon rock boss also eat things you have in your inventory on a run? Could he have eaten my boxes?

Just bummed that I didn't get my end of run treats. That was my first rare furniture too.
