The most competitive season in the Portuguese league of the 21st century, saw Benfica ending an 11-year title drought, under the legendary manager Trapattoni.
Porto had won last season’s Champions League, but saw Mourinho, Ricardo Carvalho, and Paulo Ferreira leave to Chelsea, while Deco headed to Barcelona. It would be a rebuilding phase for them.
Benfica ended up champions with just 65 points. A tally which would usually net you, on average, only the 4th or 5th place in the 21st century.

This emblematic shirt has a stitched on Benfica crest, and embroidered adidas logo. The front and back of the shirt sponsors are heat applied vinyl, as is the sleeve logo commemorating Benfica’s 100th anniversary.

There’s no player more iconic than Simão for Benfica during the 2000s era. He’s the main name to have on a jersey from this season.
The name set ended up being too low. I noticed it on the QC pics, but thought it would be different once I saw it in real life…
It starts by having the “Banco Espírito Santo” sponsor lower than it should, and then by having a wider space between the name and number. For the name set’s spacing, OKKSS has already fixed and adjusted it, after I’ve talked to him.
Still, the print’s quality is great. It has a better feel over the sponsor's print.

Sadly, the neck hole ended up being too wide. I guess, since it’s a unique neckline they didn’t know how it should fit and how to make it right.
What they got right was the length of the short sleeves and how slim it is.
The fabric is really smooth, comfortable, and free-flowing, and the overall stitching is decent.
As for the fit, size up for a looser fit. If you go true to size on this one, you’ll end up with a slim fit.

I made the order on okkss.com, just before the Chinese New Year, with them sending the QC pics on the 7th, and shipped them out on the next day. It arrived on the 18th, so it was a total time of 11 days for shipping.
