Very Inexperienced, how do I date again and hookup?

M27, UK. Only had 1 boyfriend about 3 years ago, never had a hookup or any other sexual partners. I’ve not been with any other guys since him due to work stress and depression. No experience before that because I was closeted. I’m very shy, neurodivergent and have very low self esteem.

I’ve been feeling increasingly lonely and like I’m wasting my 20s. I want to try hooking up and dating guys, however I’m very apprehensive. I don’t have a full-time job or anything else going for me due to me failing my first attempt at a career. I do occasional bar work but I don’t have much else going for me and I’m worried other guys will see me as lazy or boring. I’ve already been bullied & excluded by other gay men before and due to my mental issues I’m not sure if I can handle a brutal rejection or mockery.

I don’t have any gay friends I can ask so any advice is much appreciated.
