impressisons on elven scout/silver ranger

Hey, im going to star with some friends an interlude x1 server, and i wanted to go something i never used, an elf archer. What are the impressions on it? I had a HE and i leveled it with dagger from 20-40. What should i do with the elf? Is a good choice?
