Move to a new school?

Spoiler

My daughter is 4 years old. We moved to the suburbs about 6-7 months ago. She is a first born child who is strong willed and highly sensitive. We have come a long way with her, and she is generally sweet. When we moved, she started a new school. She went from a class with 15 students and 3 teachers to 20 students and 2 teachers. There is also a fair amount of shuffling with other classes to keep ratio. The kids in her class are generally the younger siblings and a bit rougher. She has made one friend. Whenever I pick her up, she is playing by herself. Her teachers said that she has been withdrawn and having trouble playing with the other kids because they don’t want to play with her. She is feeling sad about it.

We are considering moving her to another school. There is a Lutheran school close to our house. At the Lutheran school, many of the kids would go to the same Kindergarten as her, whereas the current school feeds mainly other schools. The other school is smaller and more intimate. The teachers have been there for longer as well. We would have to contend with another transition before then again transitioning to kindergarten. My son also has to stay at the prior school, because he isn’t old enough to move to the Lutheran school. We would have 2 drop offs and have to commute downtown and will have more days off.

Would you move your kid if you were in our shoes?
