Where do you think they go?

I lost my beautiful boy this morning. He was truly my soulmate and we were bonded. A big softie that pretended to hate everyone and everything but then slept in my arms every night and joined me in everything I did. It was heart failure and everything declined in a matter of weeks, he was only 9 and a half. Even when sedated he still remained feisty till the end and wouldn’t let the vets put the line in.

I am beyond heartbroken and find myself wondering if he knew, if he wanted to go, if he is at peace now and where he might be. I like the thought of him being able to be himself again, super cheeky, energetic and loving, lying in the sun.
